T-Mobile Moto X now receiving Android 4.4.2 update

Earlier this month, we got word that Motorola had begun inviting T-Mobile Moto X owners to take part in a soak test for a new update. Motorola didn't say exactly what changes the update contained, but because the Moto G had recently been bumped to Android 4.4.2, it was speculated that this new T-Mobile Moto X update could be Android 4.4.2 as well. It looks like that guess was spot on, because Motorola today began pushing an Android 4.4.2 update to the T-Mobile variant of its Moto X.

The update weighs in at 146.7MB and is software version 161.44.25. As I mentioned before, there's a bump up to Android 4.4.2 included with this bundle of software goodness. Motorola's official support site says that there are also a few other fixes and tweaks packed into the update:

• Printing documents and pictures: Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.
• Improved battery life: Fixed bugs which caused a small number of users to experience shorter battery life after upgrading to Android 4.4.
• Fixed email sync delays: Fixed a bug that could cause email services like Microsoft Exchange to experience intermittent delays in data synchronization.

This update may not be quite as big a deal the one from Android 4.3 to Android 4.4, but it still packs in a few nice enhancements. After all, who doesn't love squashing battery life bugs? There's also that bump up to Android 4.4.2 contained within this update, and I'm sure that T-Mobile Moto X owners are pleased to be on the latest and greatest version of Google's mobile operating system.
